The Baker Program in Real Estate (MPS-RE) serves as the department’s flagship and exclusive graduate degree program, however the department’s expertise, resources, and global network extend across Cornell, enriching graduate education and fostering success for students pursuing careers in the dynamic, ever-evolving world of real estate.
The Baker Program in Real Estate (MPS-RE)

Through the joint effort and expertise of the SC Johnson College of Business and the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning, the MPS-RE serves as an immersive, interdisciplinary graduate program. Blending core real estate fundamentals and coursework in leadership and sustainability prepares MPS-RE students for successful careers in real estate financed, development, management, and more.
2nd Year NYC pathway

Take your real estate education to the next level through the Second-Year NYC Program. Designed to bridge classroom learning with industry practice, the program allows students to complete their first year of the program on Cornell’s main Ithaca, NY campus and get connected with the larger Cornell graduate community and resources. Students then have the option to move the second year of their studies to NYC for an immersive experience that offers for-credit opportunities to connect with leading real estate professionals through guest lectures, applied projects, and collaborations with local companies and government agencies.
