The Baker Program in Real Estate Advisory Board

Cornell Baker Program alumni who serve as senior industry leaders—including CEOs, presidents, principals, and partners—provide strategic guidance to the program to ensure curriculum relevance and availability of industry connections for students. CREC membership is open to current students, Cornell University alumni, and non-Cornellians interested in furthering their real estate knowledge and career opportunities. The board advocates on behalf of the program and provides various support to program students and faculty.

Cornell Real Estate Council (CREC)

CREC is a non-profit, volunteer-led organization dedicated to serving the needs of Cornell alumni and students who share a common interest in real estate. Representative of several disciplines across the university that have a vested interest in real estate education, CREC is committed to furthering the academic, educational, and aspirational goals of its members through the following key initiatives

  • Mentorship programs: Alumni connecting with current students and recent graduates to share career guidance and advice.
  • Regional events: A robust calendar of events is organized and executed by various CREC regional chapters where industry leaders can network, share insights, and engage in professional development.
  • Academic enhancements: Multifaceted enhancements to real estate academic programs at Cornell are provided through sponsorship of research, hosting student treks to noteworthy projects, guest lecturing, and contribution of case studies for in-class analysis.
  • Maintained connectivity: CREC operates an independent, dynamic website to provide members with resources and access to the Cornell RE-Connect, an online membership search tool where members can connect based on shared location, interest, or career goals.
