Big Red Barn
A facility dedicated solely to graduate students, the Big Red Barn is exactly what it sounds like—the horse stables of the university’s first president, Andrew Dickson White. Painted red, filled with gleaming woodwork and comfy couches, it is a convenient Central Campus meeting place for grad students and faculty members. Numerous grad-student oriented activities are scheduled there during the semester, including the perennially popular T.G.I.F., or Tell Grads It’s Friday, when the Barn offers free snacks and sells dollar drafts of beer on Friday evenings throughout the school year.
