Biography

Tyler Grooms, a 2010 Cornell PRE candidate with an emphasis in sustainable development, graduated from Chapman University with both a bachelor’s in Economics and a bachelor’s in Business Administration. After graduation, he completed a master’s in Finance from San Diego State University. Recently, Tyler interned at Los Arboles Management, gaining exposure to their wide array of assets including luxury hotels, commercial, retail, agriculture, raw land, and non‐traditional assets. Tyler worked on a variety of projects including regional and local market studies; real options land valuation; econometric modeling and testing as well as a proposal to develop land using development supported agriculture and conservation easements to enhance developable land value. During summers in undergrad, Tyler worked at Qualcomm in the Technology Licensing division auditing royalty statements. After graduating from undergrad, Tyler went to work for Torrey Pines Technologies as a project manager. In his off time Tyler enjoys videogames, surfing, and cooking and hopes to make an impact in sustainable development after graduation.
