Biography
Piyakorn was born and grew up in Bangkok, Thailand. He received his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, and obtained a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from Columbia University, New York. Professionally qualified as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and a CFA charter, Piyakorn has extensive experiences in the financial market. After graduation, he was a member of the pioneer team to establish the first financial futures exchange in Thailand, responsible for various roles including business and product development. Currently, he works for Private Wealth Management Research at Phatra Securities PLC. His advice is focused on asset allocation, derivatives and structured products investments. Piyakorn has been heavily involved in with his family’s real estate development business. He represented his family’s dealings with related partners to develop hospitality project in Southern part of Thailand. He looks forward to acquiring a standard of excellence in real estate design and management from Cornell’s Program in Real Estate to fulfill his intention to expand his family’s business.
