Biography

Myriam Gafarou was brought up in Paris, France. She received a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from McGill University. Upon graduation, she joined Deloitte & Touche in international tax where she focused on U.S. activities of international companies. While gaining experience in different industries, she developed a specific interest for real estate tax implications. She worked closely with several Fortune 500 companies on their real estate taxation. Being recognized for her quality work and people skills, she was promoted to senior consultant and was asked to join the Ernst and Young U.S. tax group in Canada. She managed complex projects, supported junior staff and worked directly with senior executives. Her passion for real estate has also led her to invest in residential properties. Her market research and negotiation skills have helped her build a strong portfolio that has been appreciating over the years. She has secured several transactions in other continents, including Europe and Africa. Her exposure to different cultures, her fluency in several languages and her desire to succeed have made her one of a kind. Upon graduation, Myriam intends to pursue a career in real estate finance and development.
