Brooke Eddis earned her bachelor’s degree in engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Upon graduating she took a position as Jr. Engineer at Metropolitan Building Consulting Group, contributing to the architectural and mechanical designs for various residential, commercial and hospitality renovations throughout the New York metro area. As her interests in development grew she took a position on the entitlements team at Eclipse Development in 2006 where she helped secure approvals for Equinox Fitness Clubs as they opened new locations in the New York, California, Chicago and Southern Florida markets. In 2007 Brooke relocated back to her hometown of Philadelphia to take a position with Davis Langdon, a construction-consulting firm. As a cost consultant she created cost models for cultural, educational, and healthcare projects valued up to $800 million. She helped her clients continually manage their costs throughout the planning and design processes. Brooke will graduate in 2010 with an MBA and an MPS in Real Estate. She hopes to pair her experiences in construction and design with her Cornell training to start a career in real estate development, focusing on urban renewal.
