Zsofia Kondor was born in Budapest, Hungary and moved to the U.S. when she was 10 years old. She attended U.C. Berkeley’s School of Environmental Design as a high school senior, then pursued her architectural studies at Tulane University, from which she holds Bachelor and Master’s Degrees of Architecture. Upon graduation, Zsofia joined David Wade Byrens Architects as a Jr. Job Captain, where she participated in all aspects of the design and construction process. Her ability to learn quickly, attention to detail, and meticulous follow-through earned the respect of clients and co-workers alike. In 1998 Zsofia joined the worldwide architectural firm Gensler, where she was quickly promoted to Project Manager and Associate. By focusing on outstanding client service, strong management skills and a calm approach to leadership, Zsofia was able to partner with clients, consultants, contractors and team members to navigate complex retail projects through difficult challenges and successfully complete them ahead of schedule and under budget. Recently Zsofia was appointed Sr. Associate, led hiring efforts to help grow the Retail practice, and helped to establish Gensler’s health and fitness client base. By pursuing Cornell’s MPS degree in real estate, Zsofia plans to become involved in the development and financing of sustainable building projects.
