Bio

professor, hotel administration; Ph.D. University of Georgia. An expert on hotel investment, he has published more than sixty articles on real estate investment and finance. His textbook, Real Estate Perspectives, is used throughout the country. Before returning to Cornell, where he previously taught from 1989 to 1999, he was research director of the Hospitality Research Group (PKF Consulting) in Atlanta. He teaches two core courses, Principles of Real Estate and Real Estate Investments and Finance, and a third course in real estate investments in the hospitality industry.

“Real Estate Perspectives” (with Smith and Ling), a textbook, in its fourth edition, is used throughout the nation for introductory real estate courses. Dr. Corgel has published over 60 articles in academic and professional journals, mainly on the subjects of real estate finance, inverstment, valuation, and hospitality real estate.
