Looking back:

Since completing my masters degree, I still find that my knowledge of the industry was tremendously enhanced by the Program in Real Estate. The MPS in Real Estate created a great blend of education and connection with an outstanding alumni network. This network has opened doors for my continued career in real estate. Currently, I am working as an asset manager for a large development firm in Northern California. Knowing what I know today, I would highly recommend the program to both new comers to the real estate industry as well as “older” students such as myself. I really loved the on campus experience.

Career:

After completing Cornell’s Program, I spent two years as an Senior Property Manager for Deutsche Bank Real Estate Asset Management group focused on mixed-use development. During that time, I ran the leasing, property management and construction of 600,000sf of commercial and retail space, totaling more that $140 million of investment. The firm I worked for was extremely aggressive, disciplined, and detail-oriented, and therefore served as a perfect training ground.

In my current position at Sares Regis Group of Northern California, I am acting as Asset Repositioning Manager for a $450 million multi-family renovation in the Bay Area. This role involves conceptualization, design, city permitting, feasibility, finance, marketing, leasing and human resource management. I was recently promoted to Asst. Vice President.
