PRE Students to Attend Fall ULI Conference and Host Networking Happy Hour
Program in Real Estate students are working hard to get ahead on their school work in preparation for attending the 2010 Urban Land Institute Fall Conference in Washington, DC October 12th-15th. PRE students will be joining over 5,000 conference participants and will take part in a myriad of events. The Program in Real Estate enables students to attend the conference by providing for the registration, travel and lodging costs.
The Cornell Associate Real Estate Council (AREC) is sponsoring a networking happy hour on October, 14th. Anyone interested in meeting current students from various graduate real estate programs is invited to attend. If interested, please email AREC president Khari Buck (klb263@cornell.edu).
The 2010 Fall Meeting and Urban Land Expo is about moving forward, facing challenges, and identifying emerging opportunities and being first to capitalize on them. Students will hear about the cutting edge trends and outlooks as well as learn how to apply them to their own careers.
The conference provides students with the opportunity to build relationships with prospective employers and business partners in every sector of the industry. For instance, while staffing the Cornell Program in Real Estate booth at the 2009 conference, Richard Weidel PRE ’11, made a connection that lead to his summer internship at Real Estate Capital Partners.
