New and Newly Renovated Offices for the Program in Real Estate

Cornell’s Program in Real Estate (PRE) expanded their square footage over the past year by moving their admissions office to 537 Statler Hall. The main address for the program will still be 114 West Sibley Hall, which continues to be the office prospective students and industry professionals should use as a starting off point when they visit campus. The offices in Statler Hall offer PRE students a convenient home in the Hotel School where many of the classes take place and provide the program with an additional conference room.

In addition to the new office space in Statler Hall, the PRE offices in Sibley Hall were recently renovated to bring the entire building up to ADA standards and create a better working and learning environment. The offices, located in the first floor of West Sibley, will house the PRE faculty in addition to the main PRE office. Sibley Hall, built in 1870 and originally expanded in 1884, houses the School of Architecture, Art and Planning in addition to the Program in Real Estate offices. The Program in Real Estate is one of a kind at Cornell because the program is guided under the leadership of five colleges: the School of Hotel Administration, the Johnson School of Business, the Architecture, Art and Planning School, the College of Engineering and the Law School. The ability to access faculty in each college and learn from their expertise is a hallmark of the program. With offices in both Statler Hall and West Sibley, students have greater access to the wide breadth of faculty knowledge.

Although the offices in West Sibley are nearly finished, the exterior of the building is currently being remodeled while the construction of Milstein Hall and the renovation of Rand Hall takes place. Milstein Hall is a new building that provides much needed auditorium space, dining options, and a flexible open floor plan to enable studying and program exhibits. Milstein Hall also serves as a bridge between Rand Hall and Sibley Hall—a symbol of the connection between the departments and programs in the Architecture, Art and Planning School.

The new offices in Statler Hall and the renovated offices in West Sibley Hall offer the PRE students and faculty a great environment where learning can take place at an increasingly high level.
