From Problems Come Opportunities

The Cornell Real Estate Industry Seminar welcomes Taylor Grant, founder and CEO of Managing Principal of California Receiverships, LLC, to campus on Thursday, October 28.

Mr. Grant has been involved in the real estate industry since he graduated from college in 1971 with a degree in finance from the University of Southern California.  Prior to focusing exclusively on receivership assignments, he completed a variety of real estate development projects, including office buildings, for sale housing developments, master planned communities, retail centers, multifamily ranging to 30 stories as well as industrial parks and self-storage.  Mr. Grant completed his first real estate receivership assignment in the early 90s and the skills developed then serve him well now. With knowledge gained from 35 plus years’ experience in various real estate products, he has successfully completed numerous complicated receivership assignments involving over $750 million of real estate assets.  The most complicated assignment was the largest multi-site receivership in California for Bank of America.  Other assignments have included partially constructed projects and environmentally tainted properties.
