The Cornell Program in Real Estate Distinguished Speakers Series welcomes Stephen Ashley, Chairman and CEO of The Ashley Group, and his First VP Randy Hagedorn, a 2010 graduate of the Program in Real Estate.  The Ashley Group is a family of related companies focused on management, brokerage, financing, and investment in commercial and multifamily real estate based in Rochester, NY.  Mr. Ashley has more than 45 years experience in the real estate and the real estate financing industries.  He served as President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America (MBAA), and Director and Chairman of the Board of Fannie Mae.  He is currently a Director of Manning & Napier Advisors, Inc., a group of mutual funds, and served as past Chair and current Trustee of The George Eastman House – International Museum of Photography.  Stephen is a Trustee of Cornell University, from which he received BS and MBA degrees, and is a member of the Cornell Real Estate Council.

Randy Hagedorn is a 2010 graduate of the Cornell Program in Real Estate.  He also completed the accelerated MBA program at Cornell following his MPS in Real Estate, and earned a JD from the University of Minnesota prior to entering Cornell.

Mr. Ashley will draw on his experiences as past Chairman of Fannie Maw and past President of the Mortgage Bankers Association for his prepared remarks on THE FUTURE OF REAL ESTATE FINANCE.  Stephen and Randy will also discuss the transition from real estate graduate student at Cornell to a leadership role within a diverse real estate company.
