The Cornell Real Estate Industry seminar welcomes Peter Baccile, Vice Chairman of J.P. Morgan Securities Inc., to campus as the honorary final Cornell Real Estate Industry seminar speaker of the year this Thursday. Prior to becoming Vice Chairman, Peter was Managing Director and Co-Head of J.P. Morgan’s General Industries Investment Banking Group which encompassed Real Estate, Lodging and Gaming, Diversified Industrials, Paper Packaging and Building Products and Transportation. Prior to becoming Co-Head of General Industries Investment Banking, Peter was Global Head of Real Estate, Lodging and Gaming Investment Banking. During his career, Peter has completed over $100 billion in M&A, equity capital markets, and debt capital markets transactions and is responsible for some of the firm’s most important client relationships globally. He joined J.P. Morgan in 1986.
Mr. Baccile is a member of Cornell Program in Real Estate Advisory Board and is a trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He is also a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, the Real Estate Roundtable, the National Multi Housing Council, and the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate. Peter received an MBA from and was a Fuqua Scholar at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and received a B.S. from Cornell University. His comments will cover a range of topics, including an insider’s view on real estate capital markets, and will provide ample opportunity for questions.
