RE Seminar: Jonathan Geanakos, Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin

Mr. Geanakos is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s New York office and co-heads the firm’s Real Estate, Lodging and Leisure Group. During his 25-year real estate career, he has been active as principal and advisor assisting institutional and corporate investors in structuring and executing asset sales, corporate financings, sale leasebacks, note sales, and other capital market transactions throughout the United States and Mexico. He has been a guest lecturer at both New York University and Columbia University regarding a variety of topics involving the real estate capital markets. 

Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Geanakos was a principal with Trammell Crow Company as the head of the firm’s U.S. sale-leaseback practice. He has also held senior positions at Transwestern Commercial Services Group, Secured Capital and Copley Real Estate Advisors (now AEW Capital Management).

Mr. Geanakos earned a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and an M.B.A. from the Olin School of Business at Babson College.  He is registered with FINRA as a General Securities Representative (Series 7 and 63) and is a council member of the Urban Land Institute and member of the Pension Real Estate Association.
