The Cornell Real Estate Industry seminar welcomes David Doupe of Jones Lang LaSalle to campus this Thursday.  Mr. Doupe, an International Director in the firm’s Capital Markets Group, has headed the West Coast region’s activities since 2005 from his office in Los Angeles.  Jones Lang LaSalle platform centers around four main areas of activity – Brokerage and asset sales, investment banking, development and asset strategy, and corporate capital markets.  Mr. Doupe’s comments will range across Jones Lang LaSalle’s activities, and include looks at how the company is organizationally structured, its fee based advisory services, loan portfolio reviews and due diligence, strategic loan servicing, and more.

Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Doupé spent six years with CB Richard Ellis/Insignia/ESG as an Executive Vice President specializing in large scale investment sales, joint venture formations and debt sales and placements.  In 1995 Mr. Doupé was a co-founder and President of The Greenwich Group, a New York based international real estate investment banking firm which was formed via a management buyout of a division of Kennedy Wilson which Mr. Doupé joined in 1992. From the period of 1987 to 1992 Mr. Doupé was a member of the Financial Services Group of Cushman & Wakefield where in 1989 he was awarded the top broker award in the nation for the division. During this combined 12 year period Mr. Doupé gained significant international investment experience working with investors based in Australia, Southeast Asia, Japan, Hong Kong, China and Korea.  During his career, Mr. Doupé has completed in excess of $13.9 billion of capital market transactions including: urban high rise office, suburban office portfolios, hotels, resorts, corporate headquarters, regional malls, power centers, multifamily residential and both performing and nonperforming loan sales.

Mr. Doupé is a graduate of Cornell University and a member of the Cornell Real Estate Council, International Council of Shopping Centers, the Urban Land Institute and the Pension Real Estate Association.
