The Cornell Program in Real Estate Distinguished Speakers Series welcomes Bob Toll, Executive Chairman of Toll Brothers Inc., the leading builder of luxury homes in the US, to campus this Thursday.  Toll Brothers, founded in 1967, develops luxury residential communities in 19 states throughout the nation.  Mr. Toll was named CEO of the Year by Builder Magazine in 2005.  In 2007, 2008, and 2009 Institutional Investor magazine named Bob Toll the Best CEO in the Homebuilders & Building Products industry.

Mr. Toll earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Cornell University in1963, and was awarded his LLB degree cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1966.  Bob was named Cornell Entrepreneur of the year in 2005, given annually to a Cornell Graduate who best exemplifies entrepreneurial achievement, community service and high ethical standards, and has been a frequent speaker at Cornell Real Estate Conferences and seminars over the years.  .  Mr. Toll serves on the Cornell Program in Real Estate Advisory Board and the Business Board of the Department of Defense.  He is on the Board of Directors of Seeds of Peace, Beth Shalom Synagogue, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Metropolitan Opera. Toll Brothers sponsors the Metropolitan Opera International Radio Broadcasts.

Bob will provide insight into the homebuilding business through an examination of the Toll Brothers enterprise as well as detail the strategy and execution behind the Toll Brothers brand as part of his lecture titled HOMEBUILDING: EXECUTING THE PLAN. 

Accompanying Mr. Toll on the visit will be Jon Downs, VP-Human Resources, and Jay Lehman, Director of National Recruiting.  The particulars for this Thursday are as follows:
