The Cornell Real Estate Industry Seminar welcomes Andrew L. Benioff, Founder and Managing Partner of Llenrock Group, LLC, to campus as the featured speaker on Thursday, September 2.

Before founding Llenrock Group, LLC, Mr. Benioff was a managing partner and head of the hospitality and leisure finance group a t a Philadelphia-based boutique real estate investment banking firm. There, he was instrumental in growing the firm’s yearly transaction volume from $200M to more than $800M in less than three years. He also led an extensive firm makeover and re-branding.

In addition, Mr. Benioff has 15 years’ experience in luxury hotel operations, management and finance. He has held management and executive level positions at Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, Nikko Hotels International and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in the U.S. as well as at a traditional Ryokan (Inn) in Atami, Japan.

Mr. Benioff is the author of several articles on real estate finance for publications like Scotsman’s Guide, Hotel Business and Hotel Real Estate. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the New York Hospitality Council, and is the Chairman of the Philadelphia chapter of the Cornell Real Estate Council, as well as being the Founder and Chairman of the Philadelphia Real Estate Council. He has also served as a guest panelist at numerous real estate conferences.

He received his M.B.A. with a focus on Finance and Real Estate from Cornell University’s S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management, and has B.A. from Connecticut College.
