The Cornell Program in Real Estate welcomes Michael Gladstone and Armando Perez, Principal and Director of Investment Management, respectively, for MMA Financial, Inc. of Boston, to the Real Estate Industry Seminar this Thursday. The Gladstone and Perez MMA team will discuss issues in affordable housing finance as well as other real estate investment products.

Mr. Gladstone, current head of workouts and capital transactions at MMA, has had responsibility for legal work in the areas of affordable and conventional housing as well as investment products and services throughout a career that began in 1985. He serves on the advisory board of the Housing and Development Reporter and has lectured at Harvard University on affordable housing. The Emory graduate earned his JD and MBA at Cornell, and is a member of the Cornell Real Estate Council.

Mr. Pérez is Director of Investment Management and IT with MMA Financial, Inc, where he has worked since 1991. Mr. Pérez oversees a portfolio of $11 billion of affordable housing equity and debt investments comprised of more than 2,200 properties located throughout the United States. During his 16-year tenure with MMA Financial, Mr. Pérez has been involved in all aspects of asset management, including troubled property workouts, and has led project teams on a variety of organizational, business, IT and strategic initiatives. Mr. Pérez also held positions as city planner with the city of Boston and as project planner with the Office of the Governor in San Juan, PR. He earned a Master of Regional Planning (MRP) degree from Cornell University and is a member of the Cornell Real Estate Council.
