The Cornell Program in Real Estate welcomes Josh Katzen to the Cornell Real Estate Industry Seminar this Thursday, April 26. A veteran of the Boston retail and residential development community, Katzen will speak on "Issues in Retail Development."

Katzen is a real estate developer and investor living in Newton, MA. He is primarily engaged in the development (new construction) and re-development (renovation and re-use) of shopping centers (approximately 1,150,000 square feet) and apartment buildings (approximately 1,800 units).

A graduate of Cornell University, Katzen also studied at the London School of Economics and received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Prior to starting his real estate company in 1985, he founded the Moosewood Restaurant in Ithaca, NY, clerked for the Hon. Caleb M. Wright in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, and worked as an attorney at the Boston law firm Goulston & Storrs.
