George Allen, a nationally-recognized expert on manufactured housing and author of the Allen Letter, will present “Factory-Built Housing” on Wednesday, March 31 from 7:00-8:30pm in 276 Myron Taylor Hall (Law School).  Author of HOUSING AFFORDOGRAPHY and LAND-LEASE COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT, Allen is a charter member of the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) and is both an authority on manufactured and modular housing as well as a community owner and manager.

Mr. Allen will discuss the factory-built housing industry with insight into the financial, construction, and management issues in manufactured housing and communities with particular emphasis on affordable housing issues.  Manufactured housing continues to provide one of the highest return on investment of any real estate property type, but many observers feel it represents a key to solving long-term affordable housing challenges in the US.  The Wednesday night presentation is open to all.
