Second Annual Entrepreneurship@Cornell Celebration

The Entrepreneurship @ Cornell celebration is a two-day campus-wide celebration held April 19-20 that will feature a number of events. This second annual event brings together alumni, students, faculty and staff, and is open to the public.

Thursday will feature a business dialog, “The Green, the Young and the Seasoned,” followed by Keynote speaker Kevin McGovern and a gala dinner hosted by Cornell President David Skorton. Friday’s events are comprised of a series of symposia on the topics of entrepreneurship in real estate, hospitality, health, agriculture, food and life sciences, venture capital and sustainability. Following the symposia will be an entrepreneurship resource expo and an alumni panel on venture and private equity.

Boyd Stofer and Gary Stevens, both Program in Real Estate Advisory Board members, will be leading real estate-related symposia: from 10:15 to 11:30 am, Entrepreneurship in Real Estate Development: Strategies from the Ground Up, and from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, Entrepreneurship in Real Estate Finance: Lessons in Real Estate Deal Structures.

The event is sponsored by the Johnson Graduate School of Management, the Program in Real Estate, the College of Engineering, the School of Hotel Administration Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship, the College of Human Ecology Sloan Program in Health Administration, and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
