“A Perfect Pairing: Wine and Real Estate”
John Kontrabecki, President & CEO, TKG International
Michael Lark, Development Manager, TKG International
Holly Myers, Marketing Director, Foggy Bridge Winery
Rick Steffens, Sr. VP, Grubb & Ellis
Can wine be turned into a real estate play? John Kontrabecki and TKG International will be opening San Francisco’s second winery this summer at the Presidio’s Crissy Field. The winery will be housed in the 20,000-square-foot former aircraft hangar at a site the San Francisco Chronicle called “one of the most awesome locations imaginable.” TKG is looking to the wisdom of California vintners in establishing a brand with a “terroir” which transcends dollars per square foot and prevailing cap rates. Learn about the real estate challenges and opportunities in owning and operating a vineyard as well as what it takes to develop national park space overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge into a winery. The event will also feature a sampling of wines from TKG’s Livermore Valley vineyard.
** Door prizes include pairs of tickets for Sips and Bites on the Bay - a cruise aboard the presidential yacht of FDR as well as bottles of Rosenblum cellars 2006 Kontrabecki vineyard zinfandel. **
