AREC's membership accounts for approximately eighty graduate students who represent four distinct areas within the Cornell community; Program in Real Estate, Johnson Graduate School of Management, the School of Hotel Administration, and the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. AREC leverages the strengths and diversity of these programs by bringing together the experiences and ideas of its different members. Members are able to learn from one another, keep up-to-date on industry developments and create strong peer networks.
Benefits to Membership
AREC assists its student members in their pursuit of knowledge and employment in the field of real estate. AREC offers students career development seminars for continued education on the variety of opportunities available in the real estate industry. Members also have access to a strong and effective network of alumni and real estate practitioners.
Resume Book
AREC compiles a graduate student resume book and CD, a collection of pictures, biographies, and resumes of its members for real estate professionals in search of summer interns and full-time employees.
